Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the ALIHEALTH mobile app and its online service (together, the “Service”), provided by ALIHEALTH DIGITAL, Cité ASECNA, Mamelles Aviation, Ouakam, Dakar, Senegal (“we”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. The Service
ALIHEALTH connects to compatible health bracelets over Bluetooth, shows your wellness data (heart rate, sleep, activity, blood oxygen and other readings the bracelet provides), lets you add readings manually, gives trends, alerts and reports, and, if you choose, backs up your data to your ALIHEALTH account. A demo mode lets you try the app with simulated data.
3. Not a medical device
ALIHEALTH is a wellness app. It is not a medical device and does not provide a diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.
Readings from consumer bracelets can be inaccurate. Blood pressure from a bracelet is an estimate; glucose from a non-invasive bracelet is experimental; the ECG screen shows values only and never interprets your heart rhythm. Alerts and analyses are informational.
Always consult a qualified health professional about your health and before any medical decision. Do not stop or change a treatment because of the app. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (in Senegal: SAMU 1515) – do not rely on the app.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Your age, sex, height and weight help the bracelet compute its values.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us at once if you think it has been used without your permission.
- One account per person. You may use the app without an account where this option is offered; your data then stays on your phone.
5. Bracelets
The Service works with the bracelets listed in the app. We do not guarantee compatibility with every model or firmware, and we are not the maker of the bracelets: their warranty and instructions are provided by their manufacturer. The quality of the readings depends on the bracelet, how it is worn and its battery.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anyone else’s data without their permission;
- try to access other users’ data, test or bypass our security, or overload the Service;
- copy, decompile or resell the app, except where the law allows it;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Your data
Your data belongs to you. We process it as described in the Privacy Policy and according to the consents you give. You can export your data and delete your account at any time from the app.
8. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free (maintenance, network, bracelet or phone problems). The app keeps working offline and sends your backups when the connection returns. We may change, improve or stop features; we will inform you in advance of any significant change.
9. Intellectual property
The app, its design, texts, logos and the ALIHEALTH name belong to ALIHEALTH DIGITAL or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own use while these terms apply.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ALIHEALTH DIGITAL is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of the readings or analyses shown by the Service, for inaccurate readings from a bracelet, or for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Suspension and closing
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously breaches these terms, after notice when possible.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will inform you in the app; for important changes we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
13. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the law of Senegal. In case of a dispute, please contact us first so we can find a solution together. Failing an amicable solution, the competent courts of Dakar have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules protecting consumers.
